Old Welcome!

Sandy and I are fortunate to have been able to retire early in 1999. This site is about some of our experiences since that time with a few other items thrown in that we think might interest folks. Some of the content is story form, some as daily blogs entries and We’ve produced quite a few travel videos with voiceover.

Our general travels are designated as “Adventures” in menus. They include a trip around the world through New Zealand, Australia and Dubai. We created a video detailing a month-long exploration of the Inca cluture and the highlands of Bolivia and Peru including where we hiked the Inca Trail and spent a couple of days exploring Machu Picu. We’ve taken a couple of cruises including one around Norway. As sailors we took our 34 foot boat down the Intracoastal Waterway from the Chesapeake Bay to Florida, wintering in The Bahamas. We’re also campers who enjoy extended trips now that we are retired. Those range all across the US and portions of Canada including Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

Other sections, headlines as “Stuff” include videos of cross country skiing with the Kick ‘n Gliders Nordic Ski Club of Harrisburg, PA, Bill’s great grandfather’s boat trip up and down the northeast U.S. rivers and canals in 1910, details about our beloved sailboat, Whistwind and a success story about Bill’s bout with neck cancer.

We hope you enjoy the site!
