Sandy and I are fortunate to have been able to retire early. Since 1999 we’ve tried to take advantage of our situation to have a few adventures. This site is about some of our experiences with a few other items thrown in that we think might interest folks. Hopefully, it will inspire others to head out on their own, too!

Our travel sections include:

  • A trip around the world focusing on New Zealand, Australia and Dubai,
  • Sailing our 34 foot sailboat down the Intracoastal Waterway from the Chesapeake Bay to Florida and across to spend the winter in the Bahamas, and
  • Camping trips including one across the U.S. and another to Alaska.
  • More adventures will be added as we experience and manage to take enough notes and images to document them.

Other sections talk about our love of cross country skiing and involvement with the Kick ‘n Gliders Nordic Ski Club of Harrisburg, PA, my great grandfather’s boat trip up and down the northeast U.S. rivers and canals in 1910, details about our beloved sailboat, Whistwind and a success story about my bout with neck cancer.

In more recent years I’ve taken to making videos using photos and video clips to illustrate our adventures and other things that we value or that interest us. The videos, which mostly feature comprehensive voiceover tracks, are hosted on YouTube. Links to them are included in this website.

We certainly welcome questions or comments about the things we’ve experienced. Simply contact us by e-mail addressed to me, bill@weewillystine.net, and I’ll do my best to answer your questions.

We hope you enjoy the site!
