We were fortunate to retire early in 1999. This site covers some of our experiences since that time.
“ADVENTURES” entries, below, are mostly daily blogs about our camping trips. Other entries cover other types of travel including sailing to the Bahamas for the winter. Some of the entries include include travel videos with voiceover that Bill creates.
Opening the “STUFF” section you’ll find entries including cross country skiing, Bill’s great grandfather’s boat trip up and down the northeast U.S. rivers and canals in 1910, details about our beloved sailboat, Whistwind, and a success story about Bill’s bout with neck cancer.

AVENTURES
2025 – On The Road
A Circle Tour of Lake Superior turned out to be the most main element of this three and a half month tour.
2024 – Summer Travels
This four month trip focused on touring the northeast states with periods of time spent in Marblehead, MA.
2024 – Snippets
Bill highlights stops during a solo trip taking our camper for some warranty repairs at the Winnebago factory in Iowa.
2023 – Peregrination Tour
This three month trip was an extended trip across the US especially our stop in Tucson, AZ, for a rally of other Winnebago EKKOs.
2023 – Aimless Tour
This trip explored New River Gorge national park in WV. The month-long trip was the first in our new WInnebago EKKO RV.
2023 – Norway Cruise
We joined our great friends, Janice & Kevin, for one of Viking’s small ocean ship cruises around Norway.
2021 – Yanks, Bluenoses & Newfies
Three-month tour including a Narragansett, RI, Nova Scotia and a month-long caravan tour of Newfoundland.
2016 – Inca Heartland
Our friend, David, organized a month in Bolivia and Peru studying Incas, hiking the Inca Trail and touring Machu Piccu.
2013 – Alaska Antics
A five-month, 20,000 mile trip in our Aliner across the US ranging from the a month exploring Alaska to Florida visit.
2006 – Tin Tent Tour
A six-month tourof the US in our Aliner including major national parks. Also, a series of videos that document the trip.
2003 – Bahamas Bound
Eight months on a 34 foot sailboat? We sailed to the Bahamas for the winter, returning home, rich in experiences and new friends.
2000 – Round the World
Our trip around the world, visiting New Zealand, spending Christmas with friends in Australia and family in Dubai.
STUFF
2023 – Bill & Sandy Stine’s EKKO Mods
We made modifications to our EKKO, a compact, class C motorhome manufactured by Winnebago. We document them here.
Cross Country Skiing
Most of our winters are spent cross country skiing with the Kick ‘n Gliders. A few short videos illustrate some of those times.
1984-2015 – Our Boat
We sailed the Chesapeake for 30 years in our 34 foot O’Day sailboat. This is information I provided buyers when selling the boat in 2015.
2004 – Cancer Strikes
Bill noticed some swelling in his neck. This section documents his successful treatment for neck cancer to give hope to others.
