... and the Kick 'n Gliders Nordic Ski Club

We started cross country skiing as a winter activity many years ago. Although we skied occasionally, we only really got active in the sport when we joined the Kick 'n Gliders Nordic Ski Club. Based in the Harrisburg, PA, area, the club sponsors about a dozen long weekend and extended ski trips each year. We also run a few day trips to locations in Pennsylvania as well as a few summertime activities. The club meets twice monthly from October through April.

The club is, perhaps, the most active cross country ski-touring club in the mid-Atlantic states. You should read "ski-touring" to mean that nearly all members use classic technique. We ski both groomed and back-country venues. Trips are organized and lead by club members. We typically rent large houses or multiple condos and prepare most of our own meals. That keeps trip costs down and promotes a family-like feeling among trip participants.

Following this page are a few trip reports that Bill wrote for inclusion in the club's newsletter, Easy Glider.
